It is said that chocolate is one of the most basic and most available aphrodisiacs. Not like I found any scientific paper that would confirm or categorically overthrow this thesis, however what is certain that chocolate’s chemical composition indicates that it might have some semi sexually stimulating properties. First of all it works as an anti-depressant, levels up strength and boosts the concentration of neurotransmitters in the brain. The Aztecs believed that it adds men vigor ^^
I’m no scientist, but I know one thing for sure – a simple chocolate dessert is just an absolute heaven Also, if you can prepare it in under thirty minutes before the arrival of your guests (or one very special guest) and it will present itself like straight up from Paris “patisserie” … What more proofs would you need?
So let’s just go straight to the point, which is today’s very simple, but also very impressive recipe not only for Valentine’s Day.
Ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you
Chocolate Mousse with raspberries with Oreo bottom
400ml double cream
200g dark chocolate
2 packs of Oreo biscuits
200g mascarpone cheese
Blend Oreo until crumbs more or less turn into a dough. Spread cookies dough on the bottom of a springform and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Melt chocolate and leave it to cool a bit (if you’re not really into the taste of dark chocolate you can use milk chocolate or add a spoon of powder sugar to while whipping double cream).Whip double cream and at the end, while still mixing, add cooled chocolate. It works best if you proceed quickly and pour chocolate slowly.
Mix in mascarpone. Put the chocolate whip cream atop Oreo bottom and cool at least four hours or overnight.
Serve with fresh raspberries on top (or a sieved raspberries mousse), cut like a cake or use a thin edged glass to cut perfect round portions. Garnish with mint leaves.
That’s it folks. Enjoy!
