What do you do when you have too much of plum jam and not enough of jars?
You guessed it – Cinnamon Rolls with a unique twist. And let me tell you one thing – this was a hit! They are soft, tasty and not too sweet, and if you’ll do them in a bite size… mmmmmmmm. Haeven!
Perfect for everyday and as a sweet snac for upcoming Halloween 😛
1 cup milk
6 tablespoons sugar
125 g butter
pinch of salt
4 cups flour
7 g dry yeast or 25g fresh yeast
cup of home made plum
8 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cinnamon
Milk in a room temperature mix with sugar and dry yeast, and leave for a few minutes.
Mix flour with salt, add eggs, melted and cooled butter, and yeast with milk. Knead the dough, add more flour if necessary. Leave the dough in a warm place for approx. one hour.
When the dough grows, roll it to approx. 0.5 cm thick rectangular shape. Spread plum jam eveanly on the dough, sprinkle with mixed sugar and cinnamon. Roll the whole thing than cut in approx. 2 cm width pieces.
Arrange all the pieces on a baking tray and leave for approx. 20 minutes to re-rise.
Bake for 15 – 20 min at 180 ° C.
Add some icing when they cool down.
